OBITUARY

MR F. HENDERSON The death of Mr Francis (Frank) Henderson came as a great shock to all who knew him. Well known for his kindly consideration for others, he was only ill less than four days. Taking a bad turn on the Monday morning on his way to work he gradually grew worse, and passed away on the following l Thursday evening. His funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends, among the latter being members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, six of whom were the pall-bear-ers—Messrs Hurst, Kemp, Ashton, Shand, Winnie and Crombie. The "Last Post” was sounded by Mr Coombs of the Nelson Garrison Band. The late Mr Henderson went to the Great War with the 9th reinforcements, and was a sapper in the Field Engineers.
