DANZIG COUP

FEARED TO BE IMMINENT ENTRY OF 4000 GERMANS IN LAST 24 HOURS DRILLS BEING CARRIED OUT (Received 29th June, 10.30 a. in.) LONDON, 28th June. The Paris correspondent of the British United Press says that M. Daladier, Prime Minister, conferred with parliamentary leaders and expressed the fear that an internal Danzig coup is imminent. after which the city will declare itself part of the Reich. An Independent Cable Service message from Warsaw savs it is now estimated that 4000 Germans entered Danzig in the last 24 hours. A thousand horses have been requisitioned and drills arc being carried out.
