LOYAL HOWARD LODGE M.U.1.0.0.F. The half-yearly summoned meeting of the Loyal Howard Lodge was held in the Oddfellows Hall on 21st June. I The meeting was presided over by Bro. |A. Correspondence was received, all accounts were passed for payment, and all claims for sick pay were passed. A discussion took place regarding the maternity benefits and it was resolved j to write to the district officers asking them to go further into the matter. At this stage the Grand Master and j D.D.G.M. arrived, and were welcomed. ! The D.G.M. Bro. V. Stade was ask- | ed to take the I.P.N.G. chair support- | ed by his officers on the right D.D.G.M. Bro. G. Coleman, and the left the DisI trict Secretary Bro. H. Cooke. One person was proposed to become a financial member of the Lodge. An invitation was sent to the Druids to a cribbage match to be held in the Oddfellows Hall on 19th July. There being no further business tha Lodge was handed over to the D.G.M. Bro. V. Stade for the purpose of installing the incoming officers. The following were duly installed into the respective chairs: N.G. Bro. R. Edwards, V.G. Bro. R. W. Twort, E.S. Bro. A. Rosenberg, I.P.N.G. Bro. A. Bovev. I The retiring I.P.N.G. Bi o. G. Scott was not presented with a P.G. collar as he has one, this being his second time through the chairs. It was resolved to recommend him for a P.G. jewel. The newly installed officers were given the honours of the Order, and each officer returned thanks for the confidence placed in him. It was resolved to challenge the Loyal Nelson Lodge to a debate, or impromptu speeches, the matter lo be i ! left in the N.G. hands to finalise.
