PRIME MINISTER S STATEMENT ON DEFENCE COMMENT ON MESSAGE FROM DUNEDIN „ I United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. 'The policy of the Government has al-‘ ready been outlined by me as head of the Government,” said the Rt. lion. M. J. Savage, Prime Minister, to-day when commenting on the message from Dunedin regarding the remarks made by Mr Scrimgeour, Controller of the Commercial Radio Stations. "I am not bound- by any remarks of an individual,” he said. ‘My statement regarding defence was founded o-» facts. I agree with those who say that the peoples of the world have no desire for war, but the peoples are not altogether having their own way. We have to live under the threat of war. That was one of the statements made by me in my main broadcast. If the peoples had their way there would be no war now or at anytime.” (Earlier reference will he found on Page 4 of this issue).
