ENTERTAINING MUSIC
MALE VOICE CHOIR MONDAY NEXT Nowadays, with so much counteramusement music must have a definite charm and entertainment appeal to be in any way attractive to an audience. Realising this, those responsible for the programme at the Nelson Male Voice choir concert tin Monday night next in the School of Music have prepared a list of items that should appeal to the most discriminating. There will be instrumental numbers, soprano and baritone solos, quartettes by members, and many new numbers by the choir At the present time the Male Voice Choir is the only local institution providing popular secular music, which has a definite place in the entertainment >f a music-iOving public. This being the case heavy booking is expected and patrons arc ?dvised to book early. The plan is on view at Begg and Co.’s.
