mer Boy” sung by Mrs J. Boyce and Mrs W. Pierce respectively, opportunity was taken to present gifts to the guests of the evening. The Rev H. V. Utting, who presided, said the occasion was a happy one; they had assembled that evening not to bid farewell, but to welcome Mrs Holdav/ay into their midst and also to congratulate Mr Holdaway on his wise choice PRESENTATIONS Mr Stuart Wratt, in presenting Mr and Mrs Holdaway with a handsome volume of Moffatt’s Translation of the Bible, said the gift was a small token of the esteem in which Mr Poldaway was held by all members of the Bible Class. They were very pleased to welcome Mrs K. Holdaway to the church and to have Mr Holdaway back again. To him they were very grateful for the help he had given at all times. All members from the youngest to the oldest had benefited by his teaching advice and companionship, and many young men, who had gone to other parts of the country owed him a debt of gratitude.

Mr E. S. Wratt, who spoke on behalf of the church members, stated that they had had a series of farewell evenings recently, but this was a meeting of gladness and the coming of Mrs Holdaway was a great gain to the church. Members all appreciated what Mr Holdaway had done, both for the church and the Sunday School. This work had first place in his life and they had always regarded him as married to the church. He expressed the hope that Mr and Mrs Holdaway would have a happy and prosperous time, particularly among the young people, v/hom he urged to show their appreciation by helping on the work Mr and Mrs Holdaway had so close to their hearts. Mr Wratt then made them the presentation of cutlery from the church members. Mr Holdaway, in returning thanks on behalf of his wife and himself for the gifts and the kind remarks, said he had always had a great and sincere desire to help people. He hoped the boys would still rally round and help with Bible Class work. He and Mrs Holda way were both convinced that the Christian life was worth while in every way and brought happiness. After the dispensing of a delicious supper and a few more games a very happy evening concluded with the singing of a hymn and prayer.
