CLOTHING FOR TERRITORIAL ARMY £4.900.000 FOR KHAKI I British Official Wireless) RUGBY. 10th June. The magnitude of the demands made on sections of industry not connected with armament production by the enlargement of armed forces is demonstrated in an order which the Government has placed with boot manufacturers for 1.000,000 pairs of boots, intended for the militia and the increased number of territorials, as well as in orders for nearly 3000 mil. 3 of khaki, which is now being woven in Yorkshire mills for uniforms. The total cost of the khaki will not be less than £4.000,000. This last order is not the only one for service purposes from which textile industries are benefiting.
