At the wool sales 8628 bales were offered, including 5195 New Zealand, and 7286 were sold. There was a moderate selection. The demand was sustained and the bulk was sold at firm rates. New Zealand lots sold as follows: Scoured crossbred. "Whakatu.” 13J,d; slipe crossbred lambs "Awarua,” IOJd to 13*d.
