TEACHERS’ CONFERENCE REJECTS REMIT DANGERS OF OVER-CENTRALISA-TION LUnited Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Primary School Teachers’ Conference to-day rejected a remit which proposed the abolition of education boards on the ground of the extraordinary and extreme dangers of over-cen-tralisation.
The conference reaffirmed its decision that the office of its president .should not be a full-time salaried position.
