EARLY SETTLERS’ MEMORIAL
SPECIAL MEETING OF MEMBERS TO RECEIVE REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES At a meeting of the executive committee of the Nelson Early Settlers’ Memorial Association held yesterday, it was resolved to hold a special general meeting of members at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 23rd May, at the Nelson Institute, for the purpose of receiving the report from the executive dealing with (1) progress to date, (2) suggested forms of memorial, and (3) the celebrations’ committee’s report, also to discuss arrangements for the conduct of postal voting by members of the association to decide the form the memorial to the early settlers will take.
