Lemon Scheme Anomaly.
A hardship inflicted upon whole snlers and retailers of lemons under th - Government’s new marketing scheme was referred to by a leading Auckland merchant. Under this scheme, it was stated, the public could purchase lemons from growers for their own consumption, but not for resale. This precluded wholesalers and retailers dealing direct with the grower, creating an anomalous position.
