Underpaid Letters.

In an effort to overcome the trouble of deficient postage on letters for overseas destinations, the Post and Telegraph Department is distributing to householders an ingeniously designed and attractively printed small foldei which, it is hoped, will educate the public in the revised postal rates. The first page bears a design in blue and black of a hand posting a letter, with the inscription. “Stop! Have you paid correct postage?" Inside, the lesson continues; “Remember. Short-paid correspondence is taxed doub' the deficiency.” A short further message asks for public co-operation in overcoming the trouble, and finally the postage rates are set out in blu? figures an inch high beneath representations of the present New Zealand Id. lid and stamps.
