Contributixmß exceeding £BOOO liave already been agreed to by local bodies the other organisations interested in the Canterbury section of the Centennial. Exhibition. The total allocation for Canterbury is £IO,OOO, and the response so far is considered most satisfactory. “Plans for the court are now going forward more quickly,” said the secretary of the Canterbury Chamber of Coni inerce, Mr J. Roy (Smith, on behalf of the Caterbunry court committee.
“Contributions made are regarded as ail excellent response to an appeal for photographs for use in the court to display various activities and interests of tho province.”
