FATAL MOTOR COLLISION
THIRD VICTIM DIES (United Press Association! CHRISTCHURCH, 9th May. Mr Lawrence Alfred Dailey, aged 38, carrier, Oxford, the thirl victim of a fatal motor collision at Swannanoa on Sunday morning, died from injuries in the public hospital this morning. The other victims who were passengers in Mr Dailey’s car, were: Mr William Holder, aged 51, musterer, Oxford, and his daughter, Miss Rita Holder, aged 20. The other vehicle in the collision was a three-seater car, driven by Mr Leslie McDonald, Swannanoa, who was the sole occupant. A tragic feature of the accident is that the Holders were travelling to Christchurch to visit a relative in hospital, who has since died. She was Mrs Eileen Margaret Allen, aged 24. daughter of Mr William Holder and sister of Miss Rita Holder. Her death occurred early this morning. She had been seriously ill for some weeks, and her death was not hastened by the shock of the accident, news of wheih was withheld from her.
