WAGON DERAILED
DAMAGE TO PERMANENT WAT (United Preeg Aeeociatinn] ASHBURTON, This Day. The south-bound express train was delayed an hour and a half at Bankside, a few miles north of Rakaia, and the local train was also delayed owing to damage to the permanent way through tile derailing of a wagon on a night goods train. It is reported that the derailed wagon was dragged three miles before the mishap was noticed, but only a few sleepers had to be replaced.
