TO-MORROW’S TROTTING AT DUNEDIN

FORBURY PARK CLUB GOOD FIELDS FOR OPENING DAY (By “Cuddle”) The Forbury Park Trotting Club has received excellent acceptances for the opening day, to-morrow, of its winter meeting. All the fields are well balanced and with the meeting of Canterbury, Dunedin and South land-train-ed horses, form is liable to be upset in some cases. Y T an Derby’s appearance will doubtless attract attention after his recent brilliant bursts of speed at Addington. The win and place totalisator will be in operation. Ten have accepted for the main event, the Ritchie Memorial Handicap, of two miles, 4-31 class, and each horse appears to have prospects. The Mar-lene-Ferry Post bracket should be favourite, but the locally-owned horse Power will be strongly fancied by his connections. Lightning Lady, following on her brilliant performances at Eastr.*r will be on the job all the way, with Nell Grattan, Silver Guy and Marsceres as likely improvers on recent form. The following horses are selected to run prominently in their engagements: Bayfield Handicap. 1£ mlies—Chateau. Traveltone, Moerangi. Domain Handicap. 1£ miles.—Axrpear, Loyal Rey, Petite. Beach Handicap, 1£ miles—Dan McGrew, Willow Bank. Nelson Eddy. Ritchie Memorial Handicap. 2 miles— Lightning Lady, Marlene (bracket), Horse Power. Victory Handicap. 1J miles—Coquette, Silver King. Pecunia St. Clair Handicap, 1 mile 5 furlongs. P£ggotty, Royal Romance. Captain BoJt. Renown Handicap, 2 miles—Gay ! Avon, Southern Chief, Salalon.
