FOOTWEAR MANUFACTURING
NEW AWARD AGREED TO i United Press Association! CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. ; A forty hour and five day week and a minimum wage of 2s 63d for males is provided for in the new Dominion Footwear Manufacturing Industry Award which was agreed to by the Conciliation Council this morning. The minimum rate for females of over five years’ experience is £2 17s 6d weekly. The wages are retrospective to 3rd April, and the award will continue for a year.
