Thieves entered the Tuakau Town Board offices early yesterday morning by smashing a panel in the front door, blew open a safe in the strongroom and stole £43 in notes and silver. After gaining entrance on the bottom floor of the town hall building they forced the door leading to the town board offices with a jemmy. The money stolen includes five pound, pound and tee shilling notes.
