The dressmaking classes were v ry interesting and all the pupils seemed well satisfied, gaining quite an insight, into the making of their own frocks. Miss Monk will be welcomed again this coming winter for another course of dressmaking. The afternoon organised for funds for Community Chest was very succesful, and we were able to send over £4 to headquarters We i. re glad to welcome two members of our branch back into the ranks again, after being seriously ill for many months, and we trust that they will continue to have good health. On 30th March our Dominion President visited the district and was entertained by the combined branches, Brooklyn. Umukuri and Riwaka. Mrs Wickham gave a short, interesting address on the activities of the Women's Division g nbranches to meet those who hold Dominion office, as it gives us more incentive to keep moving in our own small circle. In February a number of Australian L.rmers and their wives, who were on a tour of t!.e North and South Island 'isited the district and were entertained by our members at afternoon tea at the Kaiteriteri beach. I again shank the Presbyterian Church Guild for the use of their room also the Cook Recreation Grounds’ Committee for their hall for our meetings 1 also thank the members for their help and support during my term of office All have worked wonderfully well throughout the year.”
