The site of the fountain has not yet been decided on, so that even if the proposal is confirmed by the city council as a suitable centennial memorial for the province, it may yet be some time before absolute finality is reached The fountain, it is understood, was selected from seven or eight proposals : which were before the centennial coun- ! cil to-day.
