FAMOUS DANCE ORCHESTRA FEATURED

Ambrose and his orchestra universally famed by reason of their longstanding success on the stage and radio, provide something new in the way of screen entertainment in this film, which affords them equal scope to display their considerable histrionic abilities. Evelyn Dali, the lovely little blonde ! crooner, has a role which will present her to the public as an actress as well as a singer; Harry Richman in his own ' i inimitable manner provides lyrical highlights; and Florence Desmond in a ; part ideally suited to her imitative j talents, in addition to the character she: portrays is given scope to mimic Greta i Garbo, Katharine Hepburn and Gracie | Fields. They include "Hoboe s Holiday,” "Maylair Merry-Go-Round,” "No Songs About Love” and “You’re What’s the Matter wfith Me.” The story is an unusual one and concerns the efforts of a young mil- , lionaire to introduce to the public a : i little girl he has discovered singing in , 1 a chain store. He decides to ask Amj brose to sponsor her debut and the I noted band leader’s efforts to avoid the i ! millionare’s demands lead to compli--1 cated and hilarious situations. When ; eventually his desires are fulfilled and i; the girl is about to make her first api j pearance before an audience, the young ; | man’s ex-fiancee in a fit of pique steps in and a situation arises which leads ! the whole company into Court, where j Ambrose, by his melodious presence, >: is able to soothe the Judge and free , j his companions.
