THE ACADEMY AWARD
A FINE TRIBUTE "The Hollywood Reporter” of 13th j February, remarking that "there arc all kinds and manners of polls taken in this business every year,” goes on to say, "The Academy awards do the industry more good than anything else that happens to it. In the first place, although much crtiicism is aimed at it locally, it is dead on the level, and the world recognises it as the finest tribute that can be paid to a picture, a performer, or any individual creation that goes into the making of motion pictures. Certainly, an Academy award adds more than prestige to those so honoured. It calls attention to the accomplishment.
