THE NOMINATIONS ANNUAL MEETING ON 29th APRIL PROSPECTS FOR EXCELLENT MEETING One hundred and eighty-three nominations for 14 events, an average of 13, have been received for the Nelson Jockey Club’s annual meeting to be held at the end of the month. This compares with 214 for 16 (134) in 1938; or 57 horses for 14 races as against 63 for 16. which is considered better as there is practically no double-banking of nominations. Twenty-two are North Island horses; and the others come from Canterbury. West Coast, Marlborough and Nelson.
