A recruit must have attained the age of 20 years but not passed his 25th birthday on 18th May, 1939. (d) Be physically fit for active ser(e) Have passed the Sixth Standard of education or its equivalent. (f) Be not below sft Bin. in height (in socks). PASTORAL RUN FOR SELECTION IV'OTJCE is hereby given that the “Rainbow” Run is open for selection on Pastoral Run License under Part VI. ot the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to noon on Tuesday, 9th May, 1939. The run is of an area of about 76,200 acres and is situated in the Wairau and Rainbow Valleys, about six miles from Tophouse. Annual rental. £llO. Weighted with £2OO (payable in cash) for improvements, consisting of dwelling, stable, and fencing. An exemption of half the annual rental for five years will be granted conditionally on the licensee effecting improvements on the property to the satisfaction of the Land Board, and of a value not less than the amount of the remission.
