As a result of the exceptionally heavy demand over Easter for accommodation it Union Airways plane s operating between Palmerston North, Gisborne and Auckland, record traffic figures were returned for the holiday period. The total number of passengers carried on the services for the week was 409, that comparing favourably with other Dominion air services.
