INSURANCE OF CARGOES
PROVISIONAL SCHEME TO OPERATE (Received 14th April, 12.50 p.m.) LONDON. 13th April. Mr Oliver Stanley, President of the Boaord of Trade, said he had decided immediately to enforce a provisional scheme for insurance of cargoes to and from the United Kingdom against war risks. The scheme is intended to prevent an increase in insurance rates. Mediterranean cargo insurance has been increased from 10s to 40s per cent.
