MRS L. A. BO YES FARE WELLED Mrs L. A. Boy eg, who is leaving Motueka to reside in Palmerston North, was fniewelled at a social evening held in the Methodist Bible Class Hall. Mr S. E. Hulbert, on behalf of the congregation, in presenting Mrs Boyes with a cheque, referred to the many services she had rendered the church over a period of 35 yeai-s. Mrs Cowin spoke on behalf of the ladies’ guild, Mrs McNabb on behalf of the Methodist Women’s Missionary Auxiliary and Mr C. Cresswell for the choir, Mrs Boyeg being one of the oldest members. During the evening Mesdames J. E Boyce, M. McNabb and W. Pierce con. tributed vocal solos, Miss J. Parker an elocutionary item and Mr S. E. Hulbert a reading. Accompaniments for the singing were played by Mr John Woodley.
