OBITUARY
MR R. M. CHADWICK I United Prenis Association! NAPIER, 12th March. Mr R. M. Chadwick, one of Napier’s most active citizens and secretary of the Automobile Association (Hawkes Bay), died on Saturday night. Mr Chadwick was taken suddenly ill on Saturday afternoon while attending the national athletic championships, where his son, Mr Gordon Chadwick, Auckland, was competing. Later a stroke intervened and he died at 9.30 p.m. Well-known all over New Zealand for his personality and sportsmanship, Mr Chadwick once represented New Zealand and Otago at Association football and Otago at cricket.
