NELSON CLUB At the invitation of the Nelson Club I those returned soldiers who were able ; to attend spent a most pleasant afternoon on the Nelson green Some of I the members had not handled a bowl • before, but made an excellent job in 1 their initial effort. He hoped they would j enjoy the afternoon. A jubilee badge was presented to' J Captain C. R. Duke, and cheers given for the returned soldiers Captain Duke thanked the Nelson Club for the cordial invitation and the welcomed gesture to members of the Association. He mentioned that returned soldiers were still maintaining their interest in matters pertaining to the welfare of New Zealand and had given a lead on several occasions in defence organisations.
