N.Z. CROSSBREDS IN DEMAND U ? A.-U.v Electric Telegraph-Copyrighti (Received 31st January, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON. 30th January. At the wool sales 7216 bales were offered, including 4753 New Zealand, and 5821 sold. There was a good selection, chiefly New Zealand crossbreds, and a keen demand from the home trade for these wools, which were well cleared at full rates. Inferior merinos were frequently withdrawn owing to high limits. New Zealand greasy crossbred IOJd to 103 d: slipe halfbred combing lambs, “Oakleigh,” 12£d. Merino tops are a halfpenny lower; crossbreds unchanged, firm.
