TAKAKA SHOW
TO-MORROW’S ANNUAL FIXTURE LARGE ATTENDANCE EXPECTED The annual show of the Golden Bay A. and P. Association will be held at Takaka to-morrow. Good entries have been received from all parts of the province and a large attendance is anticipated. The show will be officially opened by Mr C. F. Skinner M.P. for Motueka, at 2 p.m. The arrangements for the fixture have been in the hands of Mr D. E. Winter (president) and an energetic committeee headed by the secretary, Mr John Winter, and the grounds will bear an attractive appearance and the facili-l lies will be most convenient for the public. There will be more side shows and trade exhibits than usual, and plenty of entertainment will be provided for patrons. The Takaka Citizens’ Band will render a programme of music throughout the day, while loud speakers will be installed on the ground for the announcement of results. The grand parade of stock will take place at 3 p.m. In the evening, at the Takaka Oddfellows’ Hall, the annual ball will be held. Mr Harold Williams and his orchestra will provide the dance music, and Mrs J. H. Small will be in charge of the supper arrangements.
