TRATHEN’S BEAT WAKEFIELD I V. DAVIES SCORES HALF CENTURY SIX WICKETS FOR 44 TO J. GATES At Wakefield on Saturday Trathen’s secured a four point win over Wakefield. Wakefield won the toss and sent Trathen’s in to bat. The opening batswomen made a stand and 75 runs were on the board for the loss of no wickets when J. Fowler retired for 44. Trathen’s made 121 for one wicket and declared. G. Lovell 40 (including one 6) retired and J. Gates contributed 23 not out. Wakefield replied with 112. The opening batswomen also had a very valuable partnership, V. Davies making 57 before being bowled by G. Lovell and Z. Davies 17. J. Gates took six wickets for 44 runs.
