MOTUEKA BEACH GALA
TO-MORROW’S ARRANGEMENTS A reminder is given of the Monster Gala, to be held at the Motueka Beach to-morrow (Wednesday), when the official opening of the baths will be performed by Mr C. F. Skinner. M.P The day’s programme—a very attractive one —will include athletic and swimming events, beach beauty competitions, a baby show, and wheelbarrow and road cycle races. In addition there will be plenty of entertainment for young and old in the way of side shows, moving pictures, and a sea-side concert and dance and cockle supper to conclude proceedings Hot water will be provided for picnic parties, and refreshments will be obtainable on the beach, where great preparations have been effected by members of the Safe-Bathing Society and others interested, for the monster gala.
