TO BUILD AEROPLANES IN BRITAIN NEW TWIN-ENGINED FIGHTER I U.v Air Muil-Special Correspondent) LONDON, 7th January. Anthony Foklcer, the Dutchman who designed the aeroplanes which raided the Allied countries in the Great War, plans to build fighting aeroplanes in Britain. Fokker built most of Ger-j many’s wartime aircraft, Invented the synchronised machine-gun which sent 600 bullets a minute between the blades of the whirling propellers. He slipped quietly into London last week with plans for a twin-engined fighter of revolutionary design. The machine, a single-seater, has its engines in tandem—which, Fokker claims, makes it easier to handle *in an emergency. On his return to his native Holland this week he was confident that he would soon be designing aeroplanes for the Royal Air Force.
