ALL AMONG THE DAISIES

Three little girls one summer's day, All went out in the fields to play. There they found the daisies sweet Growing all around their feet. They all began to play and sing And made the place with laughter ring, They hid behind the shady trees While the daisies nodded in the breeze. They gathered them and made a chain To hang around the neck of Jane. In ! fact, It will brighten her up,” said cheerful Lois. “And perhaps if we make her happy, she will become well more quickly and be able to come out of hospital before her birthday,” said Belly excitedly. “Well, what about picking some for ! all those little children we saw in hospital?” suggested Lois. 6o they picked dai*y after daisy for those who were sick. ‘‘How good God is to send such beautiful flowers,” said Joy. “Well, we will have to begin to journey home before it becomes dark,” remarked Lois. ‘‘Oh! We will have to write and tell Alice about this glorious day we have had in the country, won't we?” exclaimed Betty. Their Aunty was so pleased when she heard their plan, and she said, “I really think you will brighten the sick, i ones.” The next day was spent at the hos- ' pital, when they had a happy time with their Mother and the children. After : the three girls had gone, all the children had happy smiling faces and each ‘ had a daisy chain and a vase of flow'ers.
