ATTEMPTED IN DUNEDIN ASSAILANT ESCAPES I United P.e* AMnci'tiiMit DUNEDIN, This Day. An armed holdup was attempted about midnight at the Safety Parking petrol sation in tie centre of the city. James Todd, a ni|ht attendant, states that a young man came in asking for u breakdown van. and being told to wait while a drivtr was telephoned for. Todd went into the office to make some entires, and immediately felt something jammed against his back ' with the words: "S ick ’em up. I want the till ’ Todd wheeled round grasping a revolver in hh left hand, sustaining a gash where the sight of the wea- ' pon tore the flesh.
