INTER-HOUSE CRICKET
POLICE DEFEAT ROBERTSONS HAT TRICK TO D. GLOVER At the Botanies last evening the Police defeated Robertsons by six runs. The wicket was somewhat tricky and undoubtedly assisted the bowlers in some cases—perhaps due to the fact that Constable O’Sullivan, who had spent a big day in preparing it, had given it that “Manchester” touch. R. Hughes was dismissed in an unusual manner. He drove the ball hard to mid-off where it struck a fieldsman on the knee deflecting it on to the bowler who caught it. D. Glover secured nine wickets including the hat trick. Details: — ROBERTSONS First Innings C. Bell, b Lumber 1 H. Young, b A. Drummond 0 F. Wadsworth, c C. Drummnod, b Lumber 9 J. Strange, 1.b.w., bA.
