TRAVELLING EXHIBIT TO TOUR NORTH ISLAND rUnited Press Association! WELLINGTON. This Day. 1 An exhibit showing the effects of and the means of prevention of hydatis j is being sent through the North Island as part of the campaign against this disease. 11 illustrates by actual specimens the ravages of the disease in men and animals and shows how hydatids is spread by dogs. In conjunction with the exhibit Dr. E. W. Bennett, of the University of Otago Medical School, is giving addresses and demonstrations how to dose dogs for hydatids. A cinefilm is being shown and includes photomicrographs, taken through the eye of a microscope. I showing the living parasites in hydatid cysts in tlw livers and lungs of sheep and cattle. These photomicrographs will be shown for the first time at the Levin Show this week, though the other cinema films included in the exhibit have been seen by about 20.000 people. It is not the first time that a moving picture, has been made of the hydatids

parasites at work, blit this film is a much belleh one than the previous attempts' made in Australia, It was produced in Dunedin at the Medical school. The exhibit will be shown in Levin o-morrow and on Saturday, in Feilding on 31st January and Ist February, n Dannevirlce on 7th and Bth February. and in Pukekohc on 17th and 18th . February. It was seen last spring at various South Island sh. ws but so far I has only been shown in the North Is- ; land in Hamilton, last October.
