BUTTER PRICE RISING

IN SHORT SUPPLY By arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department, the New Zealand Dairy Board supplies quotations of the London dairy produce market at close of business on Saturday. New Zealand salt butter was quoted 125 s to 126 s per cwt, an advance of 2s per cwt on the week, and unsalted at 127 s to 1295, a rise of Is to 3s per cwt. There were but small supplies available. Danish butter was quoted spot at 138 s to 140 s per cwt, against 144 s to 145 s the week before. Other salt butters were: Australian, 121 s to 1225; Polish, 121 s; South African, 118 s to 120 s. Unsalted butters were: Australian, 124 s to 1255; Dutch, 122 s to 1275; Lithuanian, 1265; Polish, 120 b to 121 s.
