MAN FOUND DEAD

WELL-KNOWN MASTERTON RESIDENT MASTERTON, 20th January. Early this afternoon the body of a well-known Masterton resident, Mr Alfred Rippon, was found in the Oddfellows’ Hall with his head in a gas oven. He was formerly a Borough Councillor and a member of the Trust Lands Trust. In his younger days he was a successful athlete.
