Care With Roadside Fires During the past few weeks pieces of bush on road reserves in 1 lie Waimea County have been destrjyed by fire. A request is made to ratepayers and others using the roads in the county to exercise care when lighting fires. Additional Land for Stoke School A grant has been authorised to enable the Nelson Education Board to enter into negotiations with a view to purchasing additional land adjoining the site of the Stoke school. Advice to this effect has been received by Mr H. Atmore, M.P., from the Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education. Nurses’ Examinations The Nelson nurses who were successful in the State examinations were trained by Sister K. Miller, who is n charge of the maternity annex.
