ARMS TO SPAIN
APPEAL BY BRITISH COMMUNIST PARTY (Received 18th January, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, 17th January. The British Communist Party called on all Labour supporters and Democrats to mobolise to assist Spain to obtain arms. ITALIAN GENERAL WOUNDED (Received 18th January, 1.38 p.m.) LONDON, 17th January. The Hendaye correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that General Gambara, commanding the Italians m Catalonia, was wounded by shrapnel. He continues to direct operations.
