The Chinese Embassy has announced that the Government is unable to continue advances already totalling 175,000, (XX) dollars in order to met debt charges secured on Customs revenue which Japan is detaining in the occupied areas. • '1 he Government is setting aside in the unconquered areas proportionate sums of revenue pledged before hostilities be gan.
