FARMER MISSING
FEARS FOR SAFETY Some anxiety is caused by the absence of Mr Ivan Davis, a well-known farmer of Okaihau, North Auckland. Recently Mr Davis visited Wellington in connection with a bereavement in his family, and on the way down left his car, which was slightly damaged, at Auckland. Later he returned to Auckland by train to collect the car, with the intention of motoring through to Wellington, and last Wednesday he telegraphed from Hamilton to relatives in Wellington, stating that there was a broken bendix spring in the car, but he was “pushing on.” He was expected here on Friday evening, but has not been heard of since, and fears are entertained for his safety.
