TO PLAY WAIMEA FOR NEWMAN SHIELD (From Our Own Correspondent! MOTUEKA. This Day. The senior selector for the Motueka Cricket Association, Mr A. G. Talbot, has announced the following Newman Shield team to play Waimea at Wakefield on sth. 6th and 7th January:— M. Stevens. K. Stevens, E. Bisley, C. Bislev, B. Smith, H. Smith, S. Young, H. Burrows, L. Sixtus. G. Fowler, L* Goodyer. Emergencies: F. Bowers, junr., and R. Holdaway. Any player not available is requested to notify Mr A. E. Lindup or Mr H. Smith by Monday evening.
