Three popular stars play the leading roles in "Mademoiselle Docteur,” an intriguing spy drama * which has a plot tnat is something “different.” In the title role is glamorous Dita Parlo. whilst opposite her are Erich von Stroheim, renowned as “the man you love to hate” and Loder, a very familiar person to film fans. A colourful, thrilling story shows how Anne Marie Lesser (Dita Parlo). bitter after the death of her fiancee, becomes a spy in the services of her coun-
try. She is encouraged in this work by her chief. Colonel Mathesius (von Stroheim), a heartless military officer. However, Anne falls in love with Peter Carr (John Loder), an attractive officer in the British Intelligence Service. After a great deal of intrigue in which Mathesius plays a major part, events come to a head in a dramatic climax heightened by a spectacular air raid. The above three stars who give a flawless performance in “Mademoiselle Docteur,” are supported by an excellent cast including Claire Luce, Gyles Isham and Anthony Holies.
