A fastidious boarder, at a “cheap** establishment, appeared at tlie table when a rather unsavoury ham presented itself for discussion. It looked well; but. said the boarder to his host: "How horribly it smells!’ •’M'ell.” replied hii keeper, "what o’ that'’ You come to the table to eat your victuals, not to smell 'em.”
