GRADUATES FROM DUNTROON
SIX NEW ZEALAND OFFICERS RETURN lUnlied Prew* Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. Six of the ten New Zealand officers who graduated this year from the Royal Military College at Duntroon, Australia, and who have been posted to the New Zealand Staff Corps, returned by the Wanganella yesterday. The four others remain in Australia to undergo a special artillery course. The ten are:— Lieutenants R de la Cour. P. B. Dawson. W. C. T. Foley. M. T. S. Dew, R. B Symon, J. Burns, A. J. Young. D. Curtis. I. A Murray, and F. N. Armstrong.
The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said to-day that the men were sent to Duntroon under an arrangement with the Australian Government whereby a certain number of New Zealanders were being trained to become regular officers. This was one of the many directions in which close co-operation was being maintained between Australia and New Zealand to the mutual benefit of both.
These officers are to be posted to vari ous stations throughout New Zealand.
