The value of alluvial gold art unions for charitable organisations was emphasised by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Parry, to-day. He said that the distribution of the profits to Mayors’ relief funds and to the funds of philanthropic and kindred institutions gave renewed financial vigour io many bodies whose work would otherwise be hampered or would cease.
