DEATH OF CYCLIST

COLLISION WITH CAR IN CHRISTCHURCH I United Pre«H Association 1 CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Christchurch safety flag was brought to this morning following the death of a cyclist. Charles Henry Gardner (63) of Princes street, Woolston, received fatal injuries in a collision with a motor car near the corner of York street and Opawa road last night. The motor car was travelling east along Opawa road and a collision occurred with the cyclist who was going in the same direction. Gardner was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital suffering from head injuries. He died shortly after eleven o'clock.
